Cebu's first Chandelier Cake
a Chandelier is a symbol of luxury and prominence, it would always exude elegance and lavishness... that's why I wanted to incorporate it on my wedding cakes
A year ago, I was in love with the idea of the chandelier cakes on pinterest... I wanted to create one myself but I don't want just any hanging cake, I wanted to make a cake that really hangs from a real chandelier!
So here
comes the project that I wanted to make but couldn't decide yet on where to
hang it??? most of the hotels here in Cebu won't allow anything attached to their
ceiling... then comes the idea that it should have its own frame so I could set
it up anywhere, anytime I wanted it to be.
Fortunately,
my husband is an architect and has lots of experience about construction and
such... so he pulled out his best welder on hand and got him to do the frame
that will carry the chandelier and the cake... taking into account the weight
factor, sturdiness and so forth... then comes the decision for the right size,
I can't decide yet cause I wanted the perfect chandelier... I have been to a
lot of shops but still haven't found the right one... it's
either too small, too big, too skinny, too silver, too many crystals, too
modern or too expensive... thank God after months of looking for it I finally
found the right one and it's on SALE!
Assembly
time finally came, everything is ready for a dry run... I have a 5 tier dummy
cake with the biggest diameter at 18" on hand, LED lights for additional
effects, lots of twigs for additional styling on the base and post then VIOLA!
I so wanted the "WOW" factor effect that's why the frame stands at 9ft with a span of 7ft and when the chandelier lights up and also lighted up from beneath with LED's, it's just plain "WOW"!

And the bonus?
the wedding couple can actually have a
cake slicing on their big day and cut the cake while it's hanging there in the
air!
Wow i am very proud of you Mam, malayo na ang narating mo
